The mono label used for the series near left was black with silver print. The only known stereo album before far left had a blue label with silver print.

The PLP- series had an aqua blue label with silver print, similar to the single label shown at near left. Federal released at least two stereo singles in by James Brown and the Famous Flames. The single shown at left has the first stereo recordings made and released by James Brown. Both sides of the single are true stereo.
