He was one of the legendary bass guitarists who played with Fela Anikulapo-Kuti in the 70s, and disappeared into thin air when the ovation was loudest. Kologbo attended the Berlin Jazz Festival, inwith Fela, and stayed back alongside Tony Allen and other members of the Band after the festival to pursue his own dream. He also played the hypnotic Conjunto Típico De Francisco Gouveia - A Maxi-Saia guitar lines, but often recorded bass and rhythm guitar too.
